Service Description

Provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. The Lifeguard certification includes First Aid, Professional Rescuer CPR and AED training. It is valid for two years upon completion and is accepted nationwide. Prerequisites for lifeguard training include: -Must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class -Complete Blended E-Learnings prior to the first day of the class. -Pass the pre-course swimming skills test (300 yard swim, tread water for two minutes using legs only, retrieve a 10 pound object 20 yards away from a depth of 7 to 10 feet within 1 minute 40 seconds) -Pass a written exam with an 80% or higher.
